About Us
Lean on Me Ministries is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 2022. We provide housing options and mentorship programs for men in need of a fresh start due to life-changing hardships such as addiction, incarceration, and homelessness. From experience, we know that too many people fall through the cracks of the system. We believe that no human being is “unhousable”. All people are worthy of love and support. We strive to make a direct impact to improve and strengthen our community by investing in those very people that society has thrown out.
To do this, we offer services to meet basic needs including housing, clothing, food, and mental/social/physical health. Through our one-on-one mentorship program, we offer opportunities for self-development, job readiness, violence prevention, and community building. We believe in meeting people where they’re at, and that it will take a strong, committed community to create the change we want to see.
Our Mission
Lean on Me Ministries offers mentorship to previously incarcerated, homeless, and displaced males. We meet people where they’re at and prioritize those that the system has failed. We aim to develop a culture in our community that fosters success and self-actualization.
Our Vision
Lean on Me Ministries, in partnership with Sent1One Ministries, offers stable housing and structured mentorship to previously incarcerated, homeless, and displaced males. Through our one-on-one mentorship program, we emphasize job readiness, violence prevention, and self-development to foster problem-solving, critical thinking, and social adaptability skills. We understand that experiences of incarceration and homelessness cause severe trauma, so we meet people where they’re at, providing space and resources to develop their purpose, make positive contributions to our society, and reduce the recidivism rate.
Taking broken men out of the usual is how we begin to build new relationships. I myself was once broken but knowing you are not in this fight alone gives new hope and strength to move forward. Connecting in groups is how we learn not to walk in pride and come out of isolation by creating brotherhood in positive ways.
