Events
We host basketball every Tuesday night from 6 PM to 8 PM. Our main focus is conflict resolution. When young men aged 14-43 enter the building, they leave their problems outside. They can be competitive in a positive way without violent reactions. Lean on Me Ministries teaches them how to be leaders of their community instead of leaders of a gang. Being a good team player means everything, even though these young men have grown up in urban neighborhoods that involve violence, abandonment, etc. Playing basketball every Tuesday has shown them a genuine interest in their well-being. We want to stop the fighting among these young men and start fighting for them because they deserve a shot at life.
We meet every Saturday and break bread after we talk about everyday life issues.
Past Events
Lean on Me Ministries giving back to the young men on June 10th, we hosted 10 teams of 3-on-3 basketball tournament without a single argument, and the winner walked away with $500 cash prize thanks to our good friends KC Defenders and Decacarate KC.

We had a blast last month helping so many. We served over 500 families. No kid went without. The kids were extremely grateful. We are looking forward to bringing another Christmas to remember this year.
